Milk Baobab Baby Skin Care: A Packaging Revolution

Unveiling Taenam's Award-Winning Design for Baby Care Products

In the realm of baby care products, packaging plays a pivotal role. Taenam's innovative design for Milk Baobab Baby Skin Care, which won the Silver A' Packaging Design Award in 2020, is a testament to this fact. This article delves into the inspiration, unique properties, and technical specifications of this groundbreaking design.

At the heart of Taenam's design for the Milk Baobab Baby Skin Care line is the baby itself. The design team drew inspiration from the characteristics of babies in their growing stage, aiming to create a packaging that would stimulate their fun and curiosity while ensuring their safety. The result is a unique milk pack container that is familiar to even first-time consumers.

What sets this design apart from others is its reflection of the product's characteristics. The Milk Baobab Baby Skin Care line is a Korean brand based on colostrum and baobab seed extract. The milk pack container design, made of polyethylene (PE) and rubber (EVA), mirrors these characteristics and emphasizes the product's mildness for children with sensitive skin. The use of soft pastel colors further enhances this effect.

The technical realization of this design is equally impressive. The container is made of common polyethylene (PE) material, synthesized with soft and flexible rubber (EVA) to give consumers a soft touch that matches baby skin care brands. The design team also created five different colors for each line, stimulating babies' curiosity and contributing to the development of their vision.

The design process was not without its challenges. The biggest hurdle was making the product stand out among many baby brands. By going beyond the general baby skin care container and creating a milk-packed container that incorporates the brand identity, Taenam managed to differentiate Milk Baobab Baby products from others in the market.

The Milk Baobab Baby Skin Care line was launched online in the Republic of Korea in December 2017, following a design process that started in August 2016. The project was a collaborative effort by Nam YuNa, Lee JeongUng, and Kim Hyein. The team's innovative approach to packaging design not only earned them the Silver A' Packaging Design Award in 2020 but also set a new standard in the baby care product industry.

In conclusion, Taenam's design for the Milk Baobab Baby Skin Care line is a shining example of how thoughtful and innovative design can revolutionize a product's appeal. By putting the baby at the center of their design process, the team has created a product that is not only functional and safe but also engaging and visually appealing.
